Internship experience sharing
During my internship at the accelerator, I was mainly responsible for marketing, but I also participated in important accelerator activities, which allowed me to understand the current status of the development of Taiwan's biomedical startup industry, and to participate in the coaching of related startup teams. Through direct contact with these biomedical industries, I also began to learn about startup topics from the perspective of venture capital. Many of these processes were very helpful for my personal career development. During the internship at the accelerator, we were also taught how to manage efficiently and many popular digital collaboration tools such as Notion, Band, etc., which also improved the project execution capabilities of the internship team and myself.
Wei Tingxiang/Winston
Taipei Medical University, Department of Healthcare Management, sophomore
During my internship at the accelerator, I was mainly responsible for finance-related topics, which exposed me to many business models, finance, and related venture capital knowledge that I had never deeply understood before. Through the preparation and compilation of the development report, I learned more about how important it is for a startup team to understand financial statements. In addition, the internship at the accelerator also allowed me to learn many related high-efficiency gadgets that I would not have used before, and more importantly, I met a group of partners with very good ideas. Whether it is the startup team, this year's interns, or the accelerator partners, they can inspire more sparks for us in the future.
Li Yixuan/Daphne
Taipei Medical University, Department of Respiratory Therapy, sophomore
During my internship at the accelerator, I was mainly responsible for topics related to patents. I feel that this internship is very different from the learning in school! The fields I came into contact with through the accelerator enabled me to better understand the current needs of the industry, rather than just being complacent in the academic ivory tower. It's not that I'm not good in the academic circle, but it allows me to see the world from a different perspective. During the internship, in the exploration of personal topics, I understood the importance of writing, and learned how to filter and edit information. Through the collection of data, I began to pay attention to the reliability of information, and think about how to express it so that people can understand it better, etc. These are abilities that I can benefit from for the rest of my life!
Jane Lin
Taipei Medical University, 2nd year student
During my internship at the accelerator, I was mainly responsible for topics related to startup fundraising. During the internship, I deeply realized that among the three major roles in the startup golden triangle, the supporters, namely accelerators, incubators, and incubation centers, are important to startup teams. Participating in team discussions and various activities allowed me to personally experience the difficulties and challenges of entrepreneurship with the startup team. This opportunity is quite rare. At the same time, joining the accelerator also allowed me to look at the biomedical industry and startup teams from different perspectives. Because of the accelerator, I have the opportunity to meet more outstanding entrepreneurs and friends. I am very grateful for this opportunity to participate in the internship program of the PKU Biomedical Accelerator!
Lai Min-Chi / Zona
Taipei Medical University, Department of Health and Nutrition, 3rd year
During the accelerator internship, I was mainly responsible for the topic of business model. In addition to the original topic, I also learned a lot of time management and database tools during the accelerator internship, which greatly helped me manage tedious affairs. During this period, I was also able to come into contact with many introductions of new startup teams and accelerator Demo Day activities, etc. By participating in the team's Demo Day, I was able to quickly get to know more biomedical startup teams. In addition, I also learned about the field of biomedical innovation and entrepreneurship from the topic of business model and other people's topics, which benefited me a lot.
Nancy Leung
Taipei Medical University, 3rd year student, Department of Senior Health Management
During the accelerator internship, I was mainly responsible for the topic of medical device regulations. In addition to learning a lot of knowledge related to the development of medical equipment, I also learned how to use many productivity tools to improve my efficiency, such as Notion, Airtable, etc. In addition, I also saw many medical startup teams with different themes through the accelerator program held by the Peking University Health Science Center Biomedical Accelerator, which allowed me to understand the operation mode of the startup team and the actual development process. These are all very valuable experiences for me. Although the internship process is tedious and challenging, it makes me feel very fulfilled!
